Just another WordPress.com site

Last week I got nominated for two awards. I hope I’d be forgiven for acknowledging both rewards in the same post. I just wanted to make sure I responded and expressed my gratitude for both nominations in a timely manner.

Tell Me About Yourself Award

I thank with all my heart http://thehyperteller.com/ for nominating me for Tell Me About Yourself Award. It makes me feel really special to know that someone cared about my blog enough to want to learn a bid more about a person behind the writings. I also am happy to use this opportunity to complement Thehyperteller on his insightful blog, which spoils its readers with clever and thought provoking posts. On the top of it, Thehyperteller possesses absolutely super fantastical sense of humor, which makes his blog especially fun to read.

Inspiring Blog Award

Thanks a million to http://tchistorygal.wordpress.com/ for nominating me to Inspiring Blog Award. I feel blessed. It is my hope that my blog will contribute to the Universal Inspiration that is so generously shared among the fellow bloggers. It’s also a great moment to let anybody interested in sharing their original photographs, original art, original articles and poems know that Tchistorygal is on the lookout for regular contributors in the above mentioned categories. She is accepting submissions through her direct email: Tchistorygal@gmail.com

I also want to give credit for all my talents and accomplishments where it belongs – I want to thank the Universe for always being there for me, and for showering me with many gifts and inspirations throughout my life.  There is no need to place link here as we are all connected to and through the Universe at all times.

The rules for receiving Awards are as follows: 1. Thank the person(s) who nominated you – (see above) 2. Share 7 things about yourself. 3. Nominate 15 other bloggers that you admire or inspire you. 4.Go leave a comment and let the people know you have nominated them.

Now I am about to share with you seven things you don’t yet know about me.

  1. I’ve been leading a double life: I am selling Real Estate by day, and writing songs by night. Some of my fellow musicians have no idea about my real estate endeavors, and most of my real estate colleagues know nothing about my lifelong love and commitment to music. Here, I’ve just outed myself.
  1. I write both music and lyrics. You may listen to the songs I’ve written at www.MySpace.com/Glasha1
  1. I once worked as a video editor.
  1. I can draw pretty distantly, though I don’t have any formal education in painting. Maybe I’ll share some of my immature works in the future posts… maybe…
  1. I like eating salty and sweet food at the same time… like chocolate cake and tomato juice.
  1. I am clumsy. I manage to bump into, trip on and get scratched by things excessively.
  1. I am more creative at night, so I often stay up till three or four in the morning. Waking up in the actual morning after only a few hours of sleep is an ongoing struggle.

Comments on: "You Think You Know Me, But You Don’t. Writing a Blog is Rewarding!" (194)

  1. Thank you for bestowing this award on my blog and for the very kind way you described it. I’m humbled and honored.

  2. I am honoured and humbled by your award and your words might be the kindest I’ve heard in a long time! Thank you so much!

  3. I really can’t thank you enough for this, not just for your nomination – a huge honor in itself – but also for the links to these great blogs by other people! I hope blogging is as much of a rewarding experience for you as it is becoming for me, and such a compliment makes it really great. I am very new in this so I didn’t even know such mechanisms existed, so I’ll explore further. All my best wishes to you!

  4. Thanks so much for the award nod. What a pleasant surprise! And thank you for those nice words you said about my blog. It’s much appreciated. I’ll tuck this award nom away to get to at a later date.

And for the record, I agree, sweet and salty together is a taste bud delight. 🙂

    • You are welcome, you so deserve this! Enjoy, and I’m glad that you and I not only share our love for chocolate, but we both have a quirk for mixing salty treats and sweets.:)

  5. Sid Dunnebacke said:

Okay, so I trotted over to your myspace site to listen to your songs. Whoa. I’ll admit – I kind of expected something hokey and unprofessional. Wrong! Why am I not hearing these on the radio? Especially “Bye”?

Your recognition is well-deserved, by the way.

    • Thank you so much for your kind words, Sid. I am definitely hopeful to one day hear my songs on the radio.:) Meanwhile, I enjoy writing them.

  6. Thanks for thinking of me and your kind words. Take Care, BAM

  7. I’m so honored to be included in this fabulous bunch of recipients. Thank you!

I love that you write and record your own tunes. That’s something I’ve been working on off and on… Can’t wait to check out your music and the other links. 🙂

  8. Wow,,, I guess it is a good thing I am a writer because you left me speechless! 🙂 I really appreciate your thoughtfulness and the nomination, although I will admit I hadn’t thought of my blog as inspiring :D. Going through some things at the moment and I will respond in kind a bit later. Thank you once again for the nomination… it inspires me!

    • I am surprised you surprised you radiate inspiration when you pour your heart out in your thoughtful posts:-). It just shows you write selflessly and unconditionally. But as one of your many readers, I am here to attest to the impact your writings have on us. Enjoy the Award – you so deserve it!

  9. It is very surprising to me to learn that you are very much into music and real estate. I think it’s awesome that you can benefit from those two great careers. Wishing you much success with your work in the future.
I also want to thank you for nominating me for the Inspiring blog award. I am humbled that you think so much of my blog.

  10. Congratulations on your awards – you obviously touch many people with your blog. Sincere thanks for your visits and Follow at art rat cafe, I am honoured and look forward to getting to know your site better…

  11. Congrats of the awards! Consider them a stepping stone towards the Grammy’s. I love the fact that your creative passions do not go to waste. The world could always use some more music as far as I’m concerned.

  12. Many thanks! I’m really happy to read that. Of course, congrats to the awards. 🙂

  13. I follow Carrie too. She is a delight. Congrats to you and all your nominees.

  14. Well, you’re so passionate and enthusiastic; how could I not give you an award?! Also, you’re very kind about my blog – I might even put ‘super fantastical sense of humor’ on my CV/resume or something 😀

But chocolate cake and tomato juice? How did you even discover that combination?! (I have several slapstick style scenarios in mind, but somehow I doubt any of them are realistic…)

    • Thank you again for giving me the Award, and congrats on yours! And yes, the truth should be told in your CV/Resume. About tomato juice and cake – that is not the only combination – I find it heavenly to combine ice cream and tomato juice, or have a caviar sandwich with a sweet tea… How I discovered theses products complement each other taste-wise?… I just new it would taste great:-). And I could definitely become a consultant on slapstick style stories…lol… I am looking forward to reading your comedy scripts for sitcom.

  15. Congratulations on your awards!!

I like sweet and salty too but chocolate cake and tomato juice… interesting!

    • Try it, try it, you’ll enjoy it!! Hot browny with a scoop of ice cream on the top… Take a bite, then take a sip of cold salty tomato juice… Let me know…:)

  16. Oh wow two awards! Awesome. Congrats to you! Glad to have met another great blogger here. 🙂 AJ’s Mom

  17. Congratulations.

  18. Congrats! 😀

  19. #6 is so me. And you should definitely “out” yourself, but I tend to compartmentalize, too! Congrats!

  20. I can associate with number 6 so much, I’m Miss Clumsy! Congratulations on your awards! 🙂

  21. Congratulations – awards are fun! Also; love that picture!!

  22. Congratulations! Thank-you for stopping by and following my site! You wrote some interesting reviews here for some sites I’ve never seen. I’m looking forward to reading their works. I’m also looking forward to reading more from you. Pleased to meet you!

  23. Congratulations and thank you for choosing to follow my blog. I enjoyed reading your awards acceptance and will investigate more of your posting soon!

  24. Thank you for visiting my site and congratulations to you on your award. I look forward to returning to see what you have going on here.

  25. Thanks for following my blog and getting me to read up a little about you. You definitely sound interesting from my short foray into your site. I welcome the opportunity to delve deeper at a later time.

Congrats on your awards and thanks for the insightful list of friends you have picked for continuing the awards forward. 🙂

  26. I was with you right up to the chocolate cake and tomato juice. (Yikes) I do my creative work at night too, and hold down a full-time career. It’s actually funny watching people’s reactions when I tell them I’ve written 4 books. They have no idea what to do or say. Having flexible hours helps, because I can go to bed at 1:30 and still be at work at 9:30.

    • Are you a musician as well?

      • No, I wish I were. I wanted to be a musician as a kid, but I was very shy, and never told anyone. 🙂 I experimented with African drums in college, but that was a long time ago. Now, the closest I come is occasionally writing lyrics. Too bad I don’t write music. 🙂

  27. Congratulations on BOTH awards!! How wonderful!! Loved the 7 things about yourself. I too love the sweet and salty but chocolate and tomato juice – hmm. I was thinking ice cream and french fries (LOVE IT!!), Club crackers and icing, chocolate cake and cashews (poke ’em in the icing!!). I completely understand the creativity in the wee hours of the night/morning! I totally get that!! I wish you the best in both your R/E and music. Write from the heart and you can’t go wrong!! Thank you so much for stopping by AND following. I really appreciate it and it’s so nice to “get out” and meet “the neighbors”!! I look forward to reading more posts!!! And hearing you on the radio one day soon!!

    • Hello there. Thanks so much for your kind words, and for sharing with me your favorite salty-sweet combinations. Ice cream and french fries always work for me at McDonald’s. And would not it be cool if we discovered that we were actually neighbors?! We could meet and go for some salt and sugar treats.:-)

  28. Thank you for visiting me. Congratulations on your awards – they are both awards to be proud of – and you’ve written a beautiful acceptance post.
I look forward to discovering these new blogs.

  29. Thank you for your recent visit to my site.I am new to the world of blogging and it has been a wonderful experience.I am always amazed by the immense amount of talent such as yourself that is evident by the various blog sites.Congratulations on your awards and I look forward to visiting your site again. Sincerely Yours

  30. Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog! It’s great to learn about you. I, too, am a night owl who struggles on little sleep. I try to conform, but it’s so hard for me because I feel more creative at night. I find it interesting how you live in the two different worlds of music and real estate. Almost like you’re kind of split in two! And, how either world is unaware of the real you. Thanks for sharing.

  31. Congrats! I enjoyed reading about you while I had my favorite snack: tomato cake and chocolate milk. : )

  32. Thanks so much for the nomination nod, NY…so very appreciated! 🙂

  33. Yeah! Yahoo! & Congratulations! Now I’m off to click on your nominee links.

  51. Congrats on TWO!!! awards! That is awesome. I have to say that I have never tried chocolate cake and tomato juice together, but I have a blog post about a Japanese tomato-chocolate bar (might be right up your alley). And I do have a cousin that eats tomato & PB sandwiches.
